The blue flag beaches of Antalya are ranked number one in the world

Antalya's beaches have achieved the world's first position in the 2020 International Blue Flag Beach Board rankings, in terms of the number of tourist beaches carrying that flag, which reached 206 beaches. The Spanish city of Valencia came in second with 134 beaches, and The City of Okitani in France finished third with 109 beaches.

Locally, after the beaches of Antalya in Turkey came first in the Turkish states, Mugla came in second with 102 beaches, Izmir came in third with 49 beaches, and Aidan was in fourth place with 30 blue beaches.

Under the auspices of the Foundation for Environment and Endowment Education in Turkey, the first blue flags of 2020 were recently lifted at Lara Parrot beach in Antalya.

What does it mean for antalya's beaches to get the blue flag?

In this context, if we want to introduce a definition of the blue flag or the blue flag, which the beach gets, we can say:

The Blue Flag is an environmental sign given by the Non-Governmental Global Environmental Education Foundation (FEE) for beaches and ports, which meet certain criteria such as water quality, environmental education, environmental education, management and environmental safety.

"The blue flag of the beaches in Antalya means that they contain certain international standards, such as environment, infrastructure, water quality, sea cleanliness, and therefore place them among the best and most trusted beaches in Antalya," atassaoui said.

Antalya, by turning a large number of its beaches into blue-flag beaches, has made significant strides over the past 33 years, Atasawi said. This is very positively reflected in the beach's ability to attract tourists.

In the places they want to visit, tourists prefer the existence of international standards, which provide all the conditions for the environment, infrastructure, water quality, security, services and facilities.

Antalya's blue flag beaches turn global

"What does it mean to have international standards on the beaches?" explained Atasawi. He pointed out that in addition to hygiene and infrastructure requirements, seawater quality is analyzed every 15 days, and the beach is cleaned periodically. It also organizes recycling, pet monitoring and rescue of beachgoers.

With regard to preventive measures and precautionary measures, beaches take all necessary measures to prevent mers-CoV, such as social spacing and sterilization. The ability to provide first aid and facilities for people with special needs.

After raising the first blue flags at Lara Parot Beach in Antalya, there are trends by the Antalya Tourism Beach Administration, in cooperation with the Ministry of Tourism of Turkey, to increase the number of blue-flagbeaches in the coming period. This opens the way for tourism in Antalya in particular, and turkey's beaches in general to be global.
