The Turkish Federation of Chambers and The Financial Markets Exchange revealed the number of companies established in the country in June
Turkey saw the establishment of 9,719 new companies in June, an estimated increase of more than 100% over the previous year, the UNION said in a statement
The union added in its statement that this number increased from the previous month (May) by nearly 180%
He explained that the percentage of limited companies reached 85.2%, while the joint stock companies were 13.5%, while cooperative companies did not exceed 1.27%
The companies were distributed to Turkish cities and states, istanbul got the lion's share, with an estimated 36.2% of companies established there, then in second place Ankara came in with 9.1%, followed by Izmir with 5.47%
The sectors for which companies were established, industry, construction, wholesale and retail have taken over the bulk of the business of modern companies
The number of foreign companies established during the month was 619, 23 of which were in partnership with Syria, the union said in a statement
The number of companies suspended in June was 1,112, an increase of 55.09 over the previous year
