Turkey's Saros Bay becomes a tourist attraction

The Saros Bay, in the NorthEastern Aegean State of Edirne, has become a hub of tourist activity and a magnet for holidaymakers due to its picturesque nature, mild weather, clean beaches and strict measures to prevent the coronavirus

Saros Bay attracts residents of neighbouring states, particularly Istanbul, for its recreational activities, most notably diving and sailing tourism, and important beaches such as Erikli, Yayla, Anz, Danishimand, Majidia and Kokjah Tabeh

Home to hundreds of fish and marine flora, the gulf welcomes hundreds of local and foreign tourists and has numerous diving and marine activities

The bay also has camping facilities on the beaches of Kokjah Tabeh and Danshimand, and offers holidaymakers the opportunity to enjoy the sea and wander through the nearby forests

Kokhan Balta, an official of the Association of Turkish Hotelowners in Edirne, said the state has many tourist, historical and cultural potentials

He stressed the importance of The Bay of Saros, with its bright and clean beaches, and said: Saros Bay is one of the most important tourist areas in Turkey because of its proximity to Istanbul

Balta pointed out that the Saros Bay area has become a center of attention for tourism activity in the Aegean Sea, for several reasons, the most important of which is its proximity to Istanbul and the strict preventive measures taken by the Ministries of Health and Tourism, to ensure that holidaymakers are not infected with the coronavirus
