Side is a city on the southern Mediterranean coast of Turkey, in the Provice of Antalya.
It's located 78 km east of Antalya city near Manavgat district.
It was built by the Greeks, it was an important harbor. The Hittites, Persians, Romans, and the Arabs, ruled the city. The ruined city is located on a small peninsula.
Ruins scatter all around Side; such as the city walls, the Colonnaded Street, the amphitheatre, and Apollo Temple.
In recent days, Side becomes a holiday destination thanks to the expansion of tourism along the Mediterranean coast.
