Turkish Airlines resumes flights to 5 cities in Ukraine

Turkish Airlines on Sunday resumed flights between Istanbul and Kharkiv in eastern Ukraine after a four-month hiatus due to the Coved 19 pandemic.

Kharkiv International Airport on Sunday received the first flight from Istanbul, according to the airport's press service.

Turkish Airlines will operate flights to Kharkiv four times a week. Evening flights will be operated every Monday and Friday, while morning flights will be on Wednesday and Sunday.

Turkish Airlines has already resumed flights from Istanbul to four other Ukrainian cities: Kiev, Odisa, Lviv and Gerson.

Passengers must have insurance to cover medical expenses in Ukraine. In return, citizens of Ukraine or anyone with a permanent residence permit in Ukraine can enter the country without an insurance policy.

Turkish Airlines announced the resumption of direct international flights from 16 cities in six European countries, including Sweden, to 14 regions within Turkey from June 18, after weeks of suspension due to the Coronavirus.
