Antalya.. The number of foreign tourists is close to 2 million

The number of foreign tourists arriving in the southern Turkish state of Antalya reached 1,897,956 from the beginning of this year until September 20th.

Antalya, the Turkish tourism capital overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, attracts tourists from various countries around the world thanks to its golden sands, beautiful sea, historic buildings and picturesque nature.

Antalya is one of the most important tourist destinations in the world, where tourism has been in place since July, and offers safe and healthy tourism services within the framework of the "Safe Tourism Certificate Program", coordinated by the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism, under the prevention of the Coronavirus.

The board member of the Turkish Tourism and Development Agency (TTA) (state-owned Tourism and Development Agency), Jim Kinai, reported that 1,897,956 foreign tourists arrived in Antalya between January 1 and September 20.

Russia ranked first in terms of tourist arrivals, followed by Ukraine in second place and Germany in third place.

Tourism in Antalya has developed significantly despite the recession a few months ago, he said, and the city experienced a particular tourism density during july and August.

"The total number of tourists coming to all of Turkey exceeded 10 million and the number of arrivals in Antalya alone was close to 2 million."

He noted the importance of the unique Safe Tourism Certification Program, which distinguishes Turkey from other countries.

"Our hotels are open and ready, we are doing our best to comply with health measures under the Ministry of Culture and Tourism's safe tourism program, and I expect tourism to continue in the coming months and the current season will continue until the end of this year."

Last year, Antalya hosted 17 million, 644,000 and 108 foreign tourists, as well as hundreds of foreign weddings, mainly indian, famous for its millions of dollars.
